LAB 15 Reflection

Image
Jhoan Muy AP Computer Science Principles 2/26/19 In this lab it required us to make an app of our preference to show off at the CTE Expo and the other app was made with a team effort to make use of a for-loop code which we learned in that days lesson. I chose to make a "MAZE" app for the expo. Using the mouse cursor you are able to navigate through the app. I made this by using a loop for the boxes that surrounded the game, for every mouse-over the boxes you were taken to the "Loser" screen because the point is to make it from the start which is the red to the green which is the end. Once you make it to the end without crossing over the boxes, serving as borders you win and get to the "Win Screen" showing you a number one victory royal image. The other app required a team of four to work collaboratively to make use of a for loop and in my app the for-loop was used in the making of the light posts 4 times. The group made the game on the app lab portion ...

LAB 16 Reflection

Image
Jhoan Muy AP Computer Science Principles 2/26/19 In class using Code.org we made two apps. The "Clicker" and the "Color Sleuth" app, both apps were made throughout each lesson and it was very helpful through out the lesson. In the Clicker game which was rather very easy required the use of the onEvent code which called for the apple when clicked to be positioned somewhere else within the screen. And the rest of the app just consisted of the design such as the background and the labels. On the Color Sleuth app it required more code. In this app the intention was to make four color boxes identical except one which a little different than the rest and with a slight change in color with the use of hexadecimal numbers being a bit off by adding it by 20 which allowed it to change its color not dramatically but different allowing the user to take time to figure it out which one isn't the identical one and we did this using randomNumber code because it all dealt wit...

LAB 17 Reflection

Jhoan Muy AP Computer Science Principles 2/15/19 Lab 17 Final Product In my AP Computer Science Principles class we used javascript code to make a form which asked for the users information. Using code such as onClick's which allowed for a popup window to appear allowed one to jot down your info and buttons to submit we were able to make an easy and at the end verify the info by being able to see it again. It was a lab which gave me the opportunity to use my knowledge of basic javascript code to make a form which from here on can be iterated to something more intriguing and complex. Overall a good lab, which challenged and helped with the getting used to the use of different code, javascript.

2019 CTE EXPO REFLECTION

Image
Jhoan Muy AP Computer Science Principles 2/10/19 On the 8th of February, the CTE EXPO was conducted at Information Technology High School in this the Web Design Academy showed the freshman of the school our work throughout the year in attempt to convince them and encourage them to join one of two academies in the school. Both video and web worked our hardest to present them our work. In preparation to this event I practiced my talk, I wanted to easily speak with a freshman without them getting scared because being new to the school and getting approached by older students can be troubling. Me a junior presented the freshman a app which we made using code as well as our homepage with all our work throughout the year. I talked with freshman as a friend, I would introduce myself and explain in an easy manner so they would follow along without confusion. The sophomores presented their business projects and the seniors presented their webpages as well. It was a long day being the web r...

Reflection For Digital Scene

Image
Jhoan Muy AP Computer Science Principles Digital Scene Reflection 10/10/19 In class, groups were made and were given the objective to make a digital scene using Code.org. My group of 4 made up the idea to make a starry night. The way this would work was all collaborating and taking on a specific role within the entire project. I was given the role of making the moon along with its dark background representing a nights sky. It was a collaboration and at the end the finished product was the starry night which we got inspiration from historical artist Van Gough. This project was meant to prepare us for a future digital scene we will need to make in our AP Exam as the requirement for the creative task and it did definitely prepare me as I now have a general idea of what is going to be needed to be done and now I will aim for a perfect score in my creative task. Overall a good project which helped me for the betterment of my AP Computer Science Principle test.

The Cost of Free Assignment

Jhoan Muy AP Computer Science Principles Mrs. Ramirez 1/8/19 The Cost of "Free" Everything in the world costs something, anything can be given the idea its free to grab in any circumstance but it really its worth something and never truly free. To a family member I would identify the cost of free being even greater as its an ambiguous, having another true meaning. Such as installing a free app on the App Store its free to use and download but its not free actually but more of collecting its data and users and sort of using them to grow this app. Free was once a thing but not anymore, not with technology being a huge indicator which makes free  have a other meaning. I wouldn't  download the "free" app in the instance it was given in as it is farther than free using information. Free has developed to sort of take a corrupt stance as its used for the benefit of the one in charge I'll say. But I see myself always downloading ...

One Pager cyber

Jhoan Muy  Digital Design 12/13/18 Cybersecurity is a delicate epidemic as its been a rapidly arising problem as technology continues to grow. "Cybersecurity is protection of internet connected systems including hardware" coming from Cybersecurity. Now more than ever there is a need of protection over the internet as companies are using this free tool to use it to their benefit such companies such as GroundTruth stated in the article this is a company that has an app which can locate people with its software which you can say is a violation of our online presence and is there any protections for us over the internet. There is many threats over the internet such as Ransomware and the most popular Phishing which both are dangerous to the individual and their identity. Cybersecurity needs to up their game to really protect us with this new upcoming technical advances and the human has to also be made aware over these sorts of stuff which can really compromise powerful d...
