Shark Tank Project Reflection

Image
Jhoan Alexander WCP 12.05.19 Homepage to Shark Tank Project Project 2, other known as the Shark Tank Project involved a team consisting of 3 building a website for a client. My team consisted of Noemi, Mahfuzal, and I, we named ourselves AlterO. Our clients which we went on to create a website for was Recycle F.C and AMA. Recycle F.C wanted their website to display their innovative solution of a modern trash-can. But prior to this we conducted an interview with our clients and we gathered all information regarding what exactly they wanted within their website. For example AMA wanted a slideshow in their homepage - we gave it to them. Recycle F.C however was very vague in what exactly they wanted in their website. Roles were shared, Noemi came up with the content, Mahfuzal and I worked on the code and design of both websites. It was a gruesome week which required time management skills. Obstacles we found coming up consistently was with the code, websites can require a lot of co...

Lab 5 Reflection

Image
Jhoan Alexander WCP 10.05.19 Lab 5 Lab 5 involved the use of jQuery to make an object animate. jQuery is a new language which is easy to use since it involves mostly a $ (money since) and code similar to javascript which I'm familiar with. The box will be animated through buttons, buttons which will each individually carry their own function. The buttons included made the object move to a random position, turn into a circle, get bigger, shade, and move anyway wanted. It was very easy to code this. But in order for the jQuery to work I needed to link the jQuery just as like if I were linking an external style sheet. It was overall a great lab to get accustom to using a new programming language. These skills are useful for a web designer because they are not able to animate anything with a simple click, you can add simple animations to any webpage and see the immense difference to the user experience.

Lab 6 Reflection

Lab 6 Jhoan Alexander WCP 12/05/19 Lab 6 was very similar to Lab 5, however lab 6 included a stop animation button. Both labs resembled each other, both using jQuery to animated the box. So all I did was copy the code from my previous lab 5 and use it in my lab 6. But I needed to remember to link the jQuery so that it is able to display. Everything was very similar however now I just needed to add another button which I will need it to revert everything back to how it was originally. So I used a lot of $.('button').click run function.  These skills are important for web designers since the use of animation is needed anywhere and if you're able to embedded it into a website your users will find it intriguing and helpful. Overall a good lab which I developed my skills in jQuery.

19th Century Utensil Jhoan Muy Web Client Programming 12/01/19  Today the first of December, I went to the Metropolitan Museum located by 5th ave. I didn't know what to expect I was just trying to do it as a homework assignment. But I got there and was intrigued by the European Sculptures it was really fascinating. I continued to roam around and found 19th century utensils which they used in Peru a country which is really close to my country Ecuador and it is a possibility that they used the same gold spoons. Everything is fascinating because it all came from previous generations. There was a lot of things which was used in the 19th century which was used by countries now known with names such as Peru and Colombia but I wasn't able to find my home country Ecuador I was really trying to find art related to my country to get a glimpse of what they used but I was able to find art from countries around which isn't to far off considering that in the 19th century countr...
