Jhoan Alexander 09/29/19 In WBL workshop #1 we learned all about Work Based Learning(WBL), it gives alumni an opportunity to learn vital skills in school that they can utilize later on. CTE academies and WBL work together in teaching students an abundance of skills and that includes resume writing, work laws to abide, interview skills, etc. I learned how skills going to be taught in WBL will benefit me immensely because there is an abundance of soft skills integrated in WBL workshops. I will be looking forward to this in the long run and am appreciative I am given the chance to learn such material.

Jhoan Muy Web Client Programming 09/12/19 A CTE diploma is no ordinary diploma but one which emphasizes a Computer Technology Education. How they are given isn't easy, they are learned with meeting certain requirements, such as community service hours and successfully passing the Adobe Dreamweaver Test. Different than other diplomas this no doubt requires more effort but it pays off. A lot of extra work is needed because you are not only focusing on regular classes but your CTE classes too. CTE diploma is something beautiful and extra which serves in your favor when graduating because besides looking aesthetically pleasing it sets you different than others, because you have a diploma emphasizing your skill and knowledge within the computer technology field which will make you a adequate contender if applying for a job within the computer field.       The difference between an advanced regent diploma and regular diploma is with your advanced regent diploma more benefi...

Jhoan Alexander WCP ( Web Client Programming ) 09/10/19 I'm Jhoan Alexander, a 12th grader at Information Technology High School. To start off I’m a team player, I like working in teams, working not as one but as a whole to obtain the A. Jhoan A Muy AP Comp Sci Princi. JR Achievement Reflection 06/07/19 This past week,  both CTE classes worked alongside with Jr Achievement to go to PS 120 and teach alumni for the day.  My group consisted of 3 web design and 2 video production students. We taught second graders for the day. We prepared 5 lessons each one of us would do one and we would help each other alongside. We taught one lesson then it was time for lunch and after lunch we need to pace ourselves through 4 lessons and we caught the students at a wrong time. Right after lunch they were energized and made it difficult to get through the lesson. But that was the only difficult part. After that we were able to go through our lessons and have a good time. The students liked to participate and were able to learn concepts such as money, taxes, and businesses. Overall it was a good day. Everyone had fun and now we know what to expect next time which is next year.

Jhoan A Muy AP Comp Sci Princ. Emoticon Reflection 06/02/19 Emoticon Group Photo This weekend we were selected to go to Emoticon to present our game. My group consisting of Jason, Alex, Damian, and me made a space themed game. We then had to go and present our game. Though I wasn't able to participate in the event I still helped my group set up by making the broad and making last minute trouble shooting with our game. We won second in crowd favorite and my group members had a great time. This is only one emoticon of many I will participate in and next time I'd go.

Jhoan A Muy AP Comp Sci Princ. Project 2 Reflection 06/09/19 In my Web Design Class we were set on a long mission in making a web page specifically for our favorite teacher. To show appreciation for their work.  I choose my schools gym teacher. In that process I interviewed him with consent of course and obtained a image of himself for the webpage. The webpage included 5 parts-Home Page, Biography, Subject, Trivia , and Credits. It was a long process, we were given 2 weeks, to make 5 webpages as well as write down our teachers biography and subject and make a trivia which involved student responses on the teacher. It was a big project involving the use of HTML with a combination of CSS to make the project. I faced trouble in writing the biography it required a separate interview and I had to not include a couple of stuff. But once that was overcame it was easy from there but very time consuming.
